 Kubernetes (commonly stylized as k8s) is an open-source container-
orchestration system for automating application deployment, scaling,
and management.It was originally designed by Google, and is now
maintained by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation. It +aims to
provide a "platform for automating deployment, scaling, and operations
of application containers across clusters of hosts". (From Wikipedia

 In this session, Gemini will provide a short hands-on intro to zero-
downtime deployments or software upgrades using Kubernetes. Using a
browser-based magic sandbox learning environment, we will explore and
work with some basic Kubernetes commands, concepts and objects such as
pods, services and deployments.

 NOTE: If you are attending and would like to do the hands-on portion,
please provide your name and email address so we can send you an
invite to the  workshop environment. Please send your name / email
address to board at mug.org prior to the meeting. The earlier you send
this to us the better the chances are of this getting set up properly
prior to the meeting.

 Gemini Agaloos is currently consulting as a DevSecOps engineer with
