[Announce] Board nominations underway

Hello all,

As mentioned in the previous MUG meeting we are now accepting
nominations for the 2017 - 2018 board. This is an excellent opportunity
to help with the direction of the Michigan!/usr/group.

Board membership includes:

* A monthly board meeting (usually on the last Tuesday of the month)
* Membership on the board mailing list

Responsibilities include:

* Determining the programming for the monthly meeting
* Determining ways to retain and increase membership in the group
* Outreach opportunities

That's where we are now, but we'd love to include additional voices and
ideas in the group. This is a great opportunity to help steer the group.

Nominations will be accepted via e-mail up until the meeting in April.
We'll have additional time for nominations at the beginning of the April
meeting. Voting will commence near the middle of the meeting.

If you would like to nominate yourself or someone else please send us a
note at board at mug.org. Also if you have any questions or need more
details please let us know.
